This fabulous Celtic knot tree of life pendant is handcrafted in solid sterling silver with a unique design where the roots and branches appear to be carved into the silver. This etching effect really makes the design stand out. "Yggdrasil" is an immense tree that connects the nine worlds in Norse mythology. This version of the tree of life has the branches reaching skyward and the roots spreading out into the earth below, which represents the the Druid belief in the link between heaven and earth. In clearing land to build a new settlement, the ancient Celts would always leave a tree standing in the center. The ornate Celtic knots form the tree design in this outstanding pendant.
