Sterling Silver Modron the Goddess of Motherhood Pendant by Laurie Cabot
Sterling Silver Modron the Goddess of Motherhood Pendant by Laurie Cabot
Handcrafted Solid 925 Sterling Silver Modron the Welsh Motherhood Goddess Pendant
A little backstory on who Modron is, since she is one of the more mysterious Goddesses in mythology. Modron literally means "mother", and she was a figure in Welsh tradition, known as the mother of hero Mabon ap Modron. Her character was likely derived from the Gaulish goddess Matrona (an earlier divine figure in Celtic tradition). Her and her son were likely prototypes for Mogan le Fay from the King Arthur legend. Modron was a supernatural mother figure whose son was stolen from her during the night as a baby. As a pendant, Modron is a powerful fertility talisman and guardian amulet in which you can invoke her guidance and strength. Designed by witchcraft high priestess Laurie Cabot, this beautiful pendant is handcrafted in solid sterling silver and adorned with paua shells and a white quartz gemstone on the bale.
I have included a photograph of the pendant next to a quarter for size reference. Pair this pendant with one of our sterling silver chains and show your inner renegade!
