Sterling Silver Norse Thunder God Thor's Hammer Mjolnir Pendant
Sterling Silver Norse Thunder God Thor's Hammer Mjolnir Pendant
Handcrafted Solid 925 Sterling Silver Norse Thunder God Thor's Hammer Pendant
This beautifully detailed pendant features the Norse thunder God Thor's Hammer, adorned with Celtic knots and ornate silverwork. Thor's hammer is perhaps the most historically significant and most well known Norse symbols today. In Old Norse, Thor's hammer was called Mjollnir, (pronounced MIOL-neer). Thor was the hammer wielding God that protected Asgard, the celestial stronghold of the Aesir, the main tribe of gods and goddesses in Norse mythology. Thor, whose name origin can be traced back to a proto-Germanic root that means "thunder", was the animating spirit of a storm, and the thunderous sound was experienced as his hammer came crashing down on his foes.
I have included a photograph of the pendant next to a quarter for size reference. Pair this pendant with a necklace or chain and find your inner renegade.
