In Norse mythology, Njord is the Vanir God of the wind, seafaring, fishing, and hunt. He lives in Asgard in a house named Noatun (ship enclosure) which is right next to the sea. In this symbolic pendant, we see an artistic representation of the house of Njord; a longship vessel with sails atop an oar. Njord is spelled out in Viking runes to round out the design.
