This fantastic classic 5 pointed pentacle amulet is hand cast in solid sterling silver. Pentacles differ from pentagrams in that pentacles have the addition of a circle surrounding the pentagram. While pentacles are used in Wicca and modern witchcraft to summon spirits and other energies, the symbol has a rich history of other uses dating back hundreds of years. The pentacle is described as providing protection and authority to the wearer in many old grimoires dealing with magical evocation. To the naturist, the pentacle represents the 4 elements; (earth, wind, fire, water) and the fifth point (pointing upwards) represents the quintessential fifth element, the Divine Spirit.
