This beautifully detailed pendant features the mythical horned sea-goat, which represents the constellation Capricornus of the zodiac. The smallest constellation in the zodiac, it is located in the area known as the "sea", consisting of other water-related constellations such as Aquarius and Pisces. Despite it's faintness in the sky, Capricornus has the most storied mythology; it was recorded in ancient Babylonian star catalogues before 1000 B.C. In Christianity, the goat creature represents Baphomet, an idol of a deity that the Knights Templar were accused of worshiping.
