Solid Sterling Silver Saint Christopher Protect Us Pendant
Revered as one of the fourteen Holy Helpers, Saint Christopher was born as Reprobus but changed his name after stumbling upon a hermit who taught him the ways of Christ and baptized him. To prove his allegiance to God, Christopher promised to those who needed help across a dangerous stream. One of the many people he helped across the stream, a child, was later revealed to be Christ. As proof that Christopher has just carried Christ, the child told him to drive his staff into the ground. The very next day, on the spot in which Christopher drove his staff was bountiful tree full of fruit. This angered the king, and Christopher became a martyr; beheaded for his efforts.
Today, Saint Christopher is known as the patron saint of travelers. The St. Christopher protect us medal is often worn for protection during travels but is also used as protection from lightning, epileptic seizures, storms, and floods.
